We Arrived in Beijing Safe and Sound

Our flight to Beijing arrived a little early. That was great after almost 13 hours on the flight. The plane ride was fasinating since we went straight north from Chicago over the north pole. Then down across Siberia to China. Snow from Canada all the way to just north of Beijing. Goes to show how much of the earth is frozen (shown below).

We quickly made our way through the custom process and to the cab line. Got a minivan (thank goodness with all the luggage for four) and straight to the hotel. Checked in and then after a visit to the rooms went to the executive lounge for a light dinner and cocktails. Game plan for the next day all figured out.

The ladies retired, while David and Jeff ventured out of the hotel for a research the area trip. We found the main shopping street Wangfujing. You could be in NYC other then the signs are chinese. After a little tour past some food shops and being propositioned a few times the boys headed back to the hotel.

All slept through the night like babies and awoke ready for the next day. Thank goodness for Janie getting us hooked up with the Executive Lounge. The extras and ability to relax outside of your room will come in handy throughout the trip. Thanks Janie!

Hey guys,
Well I lost my first futsal game 6-1 agianst the third team and during the game I pulled my groan or something in that area because it hurts to walk sometimes. Drake lost his game I think 10-1 or 10-2, mom and I didn't get there till last seconds unfortunally. Have fun!

Okay Janie--this appears to be a little bit bigger than a standard business trip to Iowa, let alone dining at the Mexican restaurant in Memphis:) Have a wonderful time and don't watch the points!!
