Elephant trek and last day in Phuket (keep your fingers crossed)

We went on an elephant trek today which was really cool - we went through some jungle and a rubber tree plantation area. In addition to actually riding the elephants we got to feed some, get a kiss on the cheek (see pic) and pet/touch some. We also had a bit of a show put on for us as they were training some of the younger elephants - that was neat as well. The pictures should show what I mean.

We spent the rest of the day at the beach (over a mile of pristine beach) and it was beautiful with very clear water and sand as far as you could walk or swim out. We went to the Executive Lounge for the last time this evening and enjoyed another wonderful spread of food and cocktails. We have a great view of the beach and resort from the lounge...if you were ever stranded in Thailand, this was the place to be....

Please note that we are leaving tomorrow morning for 2 days of traveling to get back to the good ole United States. We arrive on Tuesday evening US time. While we had a blast, we can not wait to get back to family and friends.

Thus, this is the LAST blog entry for the Clemows' Asian Adventure until we arrive home for our final thoughts on our trip.

Hi, The white sandy beaches should remind you of the white snowy grass we now have for your return. We are excited you found transportation home and look forward to seeing you on Tuesday. We went to the show and out to dinner last night-more from the kids who are now at the Barnes for a sleep over. Travel safe. We miss you. Love, Mom and Dad
